This is a rare May 8th, 1939 "Stagebill" playbill from the Pre-Broadway engagement of the CATHERINE TURNEY and JERRY HORWIN comedy "MY DEAR CHILDREN" at the Selwyn Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The production would open January 31st, 1940 at the Belasco Theatre in New York City and run for 117 performances.) ..... The play starred JOHN BARRYMORE (shown in the cover photo) and featured DORIS DUDLEY, TALA BIRELL, PHILIP REED, ARNOLD KORFF, OTTO HULETT, DOROTHY McGUIRE, GEORGE REYNOLDS, ROLAND HOGUE, LOIS HALL, LLOYD GOUGH, STIANO BRAGGIOTTI and LEO CHALZEL ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a light vertical crease, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
