CONTENTS: This bound volume includes a cross-section of 1911 literary world with articles and reviews of many of the major books published that year --including some American authors. Just paging though this bound volume, there's a review of Helen Keller's The Chant of the Stone Wall and H. G. Well's The New Machiavelli, along with reviews of books by Edgar Wallace, Algernon Blackwood, Lord Dunsany, etc. and a review of a book on photographing moving objects. There are a lot of reviews of various other nonfiction books too.
London: 1911. Twelve monthly issues (January 16, 1911 through December 7, 1911), Vol. LXXVII [77]. Bound in quarter red leather over red boards with a textured floral pattern in diagonal stripes, 8 1/2" x 10 3/4", 384 pages. There's a binder's ticket for Lox & Sharland / Southampton at the bottom of the front, free endpaper.
CONDITION: This book is in Near Good condition. The main flaws are a 2" split at the top of the front (upper) leather joint and along the most of the front (upper) hinge. That said, the book is intact and relatively tight. There is also a bit of a tobacco aroma. Also --and this is not uncommon among bound magazines --except for the first issue, the covers (which are just ads) were not bound in. Please examine all twelve photographs of this bound volume for a better idea of its condition.
