Origin - From the pristine waters of Tasmania, riverstone pebbles are formed over millions of years by relentless natural forces. Larger rocks are broken into smaller fragments by wind, rain and temperature which enter rivers and steams that are tumbled by the flowing river. The constant water movement smooths and rounds the rock into pebbles.
Hardscape - Riverstone pebbles come in a variety of colours, sizes, and shapes, reflecting their natural formation. Their hues range from light to dark browns, soft greys to deep charcoals, and earthy reds. Most stones are rounded and smoothly worn by the continual movement of river water.
Environmental and water chemistry - Riverstone pebble is considered inert (neutral) and will have minimal impacts on water parameters. It should not significantly impact the KH (carbonates & biocarbonates), or known as the buffering capacity of your tank. The GH (calcium & magnesium) or general hardness / mineral content of your water - unless small amounts of impurities are present.
Perfect for - Aquascapes, ponds, pot toppers, vivariums, paludariums and drainage / filtration systems.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Cleaning - Aquascape rock will require a wash prior to use. Being a natural product aquascape rock may contain traces of dust and dirt requiring additional washing and scrubbing.
Order amounts - Rock by nature is a dense material, therefore 1KG of rock does not equate to a large amount. This is only suitable for small pot toppers or scatter gravel.
PLEASE NOTE - Aquascape rock pictured in the listing display photo is only a representation of what the rock looks like. It is not the rock pieces you will receive as they are selected at random to meet your ordered weight.

Packaging
Aquascape rock is packaged in tough, clear, resealable, stand-up plastic bag pouches for quantities under 4.5kg. Bulk orders may be packaged into boxes.
Shipping Packaging - Australia Post padded satchels. Boxes may be used for some orders – but is not the standard packaging.
Shipping / Packaging Requests - In order for us to offer FREE standard shipping we are unable to accommodate requests for specific / alternative shipping packaging or order packaging.
Split Orders - We are unable to accommodate requests to split orders. eg: ordering 1kg and asking for 2 x 500g of different aquascape rock types.
