As from 1st August we no longer post to South Africa - sorry, but it is too risky.

If you are buying from the USA, and having the item posted to the USA: due to new tariffs imposed by the current US administration there will be Import costs to pay which US Customs require to be paid before we can post the item to you. We can issue you a PayPal invoice for the amount, so please send us your PayPal email address when you pay for the item. Royal Mail will charge us for the Import duty and then pass it on to US Customs on your behalf. All items, irrespective of where they are made, now 15% + £1...

This 'Buy it Now' is for a Hornby R8205 Live Steam Transformer X5039. I can confirm that when I plugged it into the mains with a standard 'kettle' type lead the red operating light came on and stayed on, and when I connected it to a controller (not included), the controller worked. Although not shown in the photos, we are including a power lead, but not any other cables.
I have a few of these and have noticed that on some of them there are not all four little rubber push-in 'feet' on the bottom. They are not all like this, but some of them are.
I understand that the main reason why people 'fall out' with Live Steam is nothing to do with whether or not the system actually works, but they find it a bit complicated and simply give up and blame the controller...
