Antique Remington Typewriter - Raw Polished Iron and Steel - One of a kind.

The Typewriter  has been machine and hand stripped of paint revealing the iron and steel frame.

The side panels and coverings have been removed to show the internal workings of the typewriter.

The carriage was disabled as part of the preparations for electric conversion for it to be utilised as a keyboard for iPad/laptop/desktop computers. The original carriage rollers are sold with the typewriter and can be refitted, so it can still be used traditionally with ink and paper.

I never got around to doing the electric conversion preferring it as a display piece.

The steel has been treated with a hard resin coating (on all parts) to stop oxidation of the metals.

This would be a great purchase for the typewriter collector looking for something unique.

See images taken from all angles.

For shipping, the typewriter would be well packed (with extra padding) and sent promptly.
