Mrs. Murray was a noted British writer and artist. Her trip lasted for a little over a year in 1854-1855 and took her to all parts of Canada, Cuba and threw the United States and she writes about each place. She makes interesting observations on places, churches, architecture, slavery and more. Her favorable opinions and Negros and their struggle are noteworthy. This is one of the better travel books. 402 pages, very RARE in this early edition.
