Beats by Dre Studio 3.0 Headband replacement repair service & parts (headband broken off hinge)

If your hinge has separated from headband as shown in the picture, then this repair will fix the problem.

IS THIS REPAIR WHAT YOU NEED?
If your headband is separated from the hinge, there are 3 possibilities causes:

1.)  The screw that holds the headband to the hinge has fallen out or is loose.  To check this, fold the headphones at the hinge and look at the hinge where it connects to the headband to see if there are 2 screws holding the headband to the hinge.  See if the screw looks tight.

2.)  The hole in the hinge that the screw goes through to hold the headband has become enlarged.  If this is the case, the hole is now larger than the head of the screw.  The screw can no longer hold the headband to the hinge because the head of the screw goes through the hole in the hinge.  This would have been caused by either over-tightening the screws that hold the headband to the hinge or by pulling on the earphone with enough force to pull the screw head through the screw hole in the hinge.

3.)  The small tab in the headband that the screw goes into has broken off the end of the headband.  The screw would be still attached to the tab, but the tab is separated (broken off) from the headband.  The screw-hole in the headband is in a VERY small tab at the end of the headband.  This tiny tab takes all of the force of folding the earphones and extending/contracting the hinge when adjusting the earphone length.  Quite simply, it is a VERY poor design from an engineering perspective.  It doesn't take much to break this tiny tab.  This scenario is what this repair listing is for.  We will remove your headband and replace it with a brand new headband.

DID YOU USE GLUE TO TRY TO REPAIR THIS?
PLEASE NOTE!!!  If you haven't already tried glue to fix your headphones, DON'T.  I'll repeat:  Do not try to glue it to repair it.  It won't work.  I've seen every type of glue tried and none of them work.  It creates a problem because although it will not keep the screw-hole tab glued to the headband, it will glue the plastic headband screw-hole tab that has broken off to the metal of the hinge.  We have to remove this small piece of plastic from inside the hinge in order to get a new headband to install.  It is hard to remove this broken part from the hinge once it gets glued into the the hinge.  If you have already used glue, we add a surcharge of $15 for removing the glue and the small screw-hole tab from the hinge.  Please note that Apple adds a $100 surcharge if your screw-hole tab is glued in the hinge.

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO FOR YOU?
We will replace the outer, hard plastic headband (the part that says, "beats.") that the hinge screws into.

We will install a brand-new original, genuine Beats 3.0 Studio headband.
This service does not include replacement hinges or the inner headband (the rubbery part that touches your head).

This is for Beats by Dre Studio 3.0 Wired and Wireless Headphones only, NOT for Studio 1st/2nd Gen, Solo, Solo HD, Solo Drenched, Solo 2.0, etc.
