All Planted Technology brackets are made in the US based on Left Hand Drive models (unless stated otherwise). We have not verified all RHD or other international models so it's always best to verify with us before ordering. Most of the time Planted Technology seat brackets will fit just fine, even in RHD models as long as the model is the same in the US as your country. RHD models usually have no change to the seat mounting holes. However, what we call a "Driver / Left" bracket would be for the passenger / left side of an RHD vehicle and our "Passenger / Right" bracket would be for the driver / right of an RHD vehicle. There are some exceptions of course. For instance, some Acura / Honda models manufactured in Canada have different floors than the corresponding US models due to different safety requirements in each country. If you aren't sure simply contact us and provide us with images and dimensions from your vehicle's floor and we'll compare them to our brackets and determine if they are the same before you order. Please note that in case the bracket didn't fit your non-US vehicle, you will be responsible for all shipping/fees in case you would like to return/exchange.
Planted Technology® Grey Aluminum 90 Degree Universal Side Mount (PA90SM-G).
The Planted Side Mount is an "L" shaped bracket sold in pairs (left and right) used to install side mount seats. Side mount seats have the mounting holes on the side of the seat rather then the bottom so a Side Mount or similar product is required for installation.
The Planted Aluminum 90 Degree Universal Side Mount is made from 1/4th inch thick aluminum which complies with FIA's required thickness, weighs approximately 3 lbs, and is powder coated grey. These will fit Side Mount Seats offered by most seat manufacturers. The wider slots allow the Side Mounts to be compatible with most other seat manufacturers as well. The Side Mounts are made to bolt directly to sliders but have multiple slots for adjustability when direct mounting (eliminating sliders).
Planted offers two types of Side Mounts; 90 Degree and Offset. Both types are offered in Aluminum or Steel. 90 Degree Side Mounts are the most common type and should be used when the width of the sliders is narrower then the width of the seat so the sliders sit under the seat. Offset Side Mounts are less common and should be used when the width of the sliders is equal to or wider then the width of the seat. Either 90 Degree or Offset Side Mounts can be used when direct mounting without sliders. We recommend the 90 Degree Side Mounts though because the overal assembly will be narrower allowing more side to side adjustability. Hardware is sold separately.
