Made with a strong nylon outer and a medical-grade gel that stays flexible at both hot and cold temperatures. Extra thick to guard against leaks and built to stand up to repeated use.
Freeze the pack to cool a sore, swollen area, or warm it when you want soothing heat instead. Cold helps settle swelling and inflammation; warmth helps relax tight muscles and ease stiffness. One pack does both, so you can use whichever suits how you feel that day.
The elastic strap is long enough to fasten around almost any part of the body – back, neck, shoulder, knee, wrist, ankle, elbow or stomach – leaving your hands free. Helps relieve the pain and discomfort associated with strains, sprains, swelling, inflammation and period cramps.
A wide pack and a 108cm strap cover larger areas than a standard gel pack and reach right around the body. Hot or cold, the gel stays pliable so it moulds comfortably to whichever part you are treating.
Store the pack in the freezer so it is always ready, allowing at least 2 hours to chill. Put it inside the pouch before use – never straight from the freezer onto bare skin – and leave it in place for 15 to 20 minutes, repeating every 1 to 1½ hours as needed.
Hot water: boil approximately 4 to 5 litres of water, take it off the heat, and immerse the pack for around 10 minutes. Always put the pack into the pouch before use.
Microwave: microwaves vary, so find your own timing and make a note of it. Flatten the pack first so the gel is evenly spread. From room temperature, heat on High for 30 seconds, then let it stand for 30 seconds; repeat in further 30 second bursts with equal standing time until it reaches the temperature you want. From frozen, start with 75 seconds and a 75 second stand, then continue in 10 second bursts with equal standing time.
Please note: do not apply the gel pack directly to the skin – always use the pouch provided. Use only as directed and keep out of reach of children. Consult your doctor about extended use.
