Named after a market in Vietnam, the Dong Xuan pepper is a thin-walled and slightly wrinkled medium hot pepper that makes a great powder. They are supposed to be around 20,000 Scoville, but that might be the low end. The very prolific plants stand about 2 foot and bear all summer. Fruit starts a light spring green then turns to brilliant orange and then red. It is about 80 days from transplant. (the photos show the pepper at the orange stage and earlier when they are still green, but they eventually turn a bright red)
