It's attached to the glove and just stays in there.  No need to fumble around during a game searching for a thumb guard that falls out.  

It can also be used in first basemen and outfielders gloves.  Most players say that they can't really feel it in the glove and that they forget that it's even in the glove, yet it protects their thumb and TERMINATES the pain. No more sting, no more thumb jam.

It also gives you more power to close the glove.  It increases your your thumb's closing power by actually extending your thumb's reach by about an inch or so. That's an added edge for outfielders and first basemen's gloves which are extra long, it gives you more control, no more floppy gloves. 

FITTING: Please photos with the 12 inch ruler inserted. If you can insert a 12 inch ruler into the thumb slot and it goes in about 4 3/4 inches, it should fit. This can be installed on to any baseball glove within a couple of minutes, lacing and zip ties are included, you can use either.  The splint measures 4 11/16 inches long and 1 5/16 inches wide.  It fits most field and first baseman's gloves 10 inches or higher and catchers gloves of 31 inches and higher.  Please email us if you need one for a LEFT HANDED THROWER when ordering.
