DOCTOR WHO RESURRECTION OF THE DALEKS REPLICA PROP DALEK TROOPER GUN!

In 1984 the Daleks made their return in the 21st season of Doctor Who having been delayed due to a strike the previous year. They had been due to end the show's 20th anniversary season but they finally faced off Peter Davison's fifth Doctor in Resurrection of the Daleks written by the show's script editor Eric Saward, which infamously had the show's highest body count! It also featured the return of Davros and the debut of the mercenary Lytton.

This auction is for a full size replica prop of the Dalek Trooper guns featured throughout the serial. It has been beautifully and sturdily made from plastic and metal tubing to a high level of finish. It is 80 cm long and is 11 cm across at its widest point.

The detail is superb and it can be held from within as with the original props. There is no built-in light but if you have the technical skills there is space for a bulb and cover at the end.

I bought this from a collector a few years ago among a lot of masks and other props (including a full-size giant maggot!) some of which came via Steve Cambden who worked on the show in the early 1980's. Sadly I have no information on who made this or how old it is. It is a reluctant sale but needs must.

It is in excellent condition although small amount of paint has flaked but this could easily be restored. Not an original screen used item but still an excellent substitute for cosplay or display.
