The GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) measurement system consists of a PC, a GPIB interface card, and several (up to 14) GPIB instruments connected by a standard GPIB cable. Among them, the GPIB interface card completes the GPIB bus and the PCI bus connection; The GPIB interface instrument is an independent instrument, may form a GPIB bus virtual test system, also may use as the independent instrument.



The GPIB bus is a digital 24-wire (flat interface socket) parallel bus. Among them, 16 lines are TTL level signal transmission lines, including 8 bidirectional data lines, 5 interface management lines, and 3 data transmission control lines; the other 8 are ground lines and shielded lines. GPIB uses 8-bit parallel, byte-serial, and asynchronous communications, all bytes are transmitted sequentially over the bus.
