1993-1996 HONDA CBR1000f OEM size is 530x120 o-ring chain, 17t Ft. Sprocket, 42t Rear Sprocket
For QUICKER gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), use a 16t front sprocket.
  (the -1t front sprocket change is versatile because you can change back to the stock size 16t with same chain,
   Your highway speed rpm's will  be higher than orig. and terminal top speed will be less.
For  FASTER TOP SPEED, and  LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's, use a 40t rear sprocket OR a 18t Ft,.
   Same chain length with 18t,  the -2t   rear sprocket change requires a different chain length, which is shorter than the orig. chain length used w/std 42t)
    Your initial off the line acceleration will be slightly slower than original, highway rpm's lower, and faster top speed.
Original Factory Supplied OEM size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and high speed engine rpm's with the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end acceleration
* A 1 tooth change in the front is a more noticeable change because it is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear..
EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear)
EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front and +1 tooth rear combined is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front)

JT Ft. Sprocket also available in 530 x 16, 17 and 18  teeth
