Canada Small Queen Victoria 1 Cent Stamps - Scott #35 - Unlisted "Plate Scratch" Variety - Fine/Very Fine

Not documented - Unlisted Major "Plate Scratch" variety just touching the "S" Banner Letter in "POSTAGE"at the top margin section. Very similar to the 3 Cents Small Queen Plate Scratch Re-Entry ( Shoemaker's No.25 ) above the Banner Letter "A" of "CANADA".

Not documented by Ron Waldston in 1991 from his published book entitled "Plate Varieties Of  The Canada 1 Cent Small Queen" nor by Hans Reiche in 1981 from his published book entitled '"Plate Varieties Of The Canada Small Queens".

These very rare examples originate from the early printing period of 1877-1879 based on the thick wove paper construction ( .026mm & .032mm) and the "Yellow Orange" color shade. Both stamps are perforated at 12 X 12. This particular Plate Scratch is very difficult to detect because most examples only reveal a very faint printing impression.

Outstanding examples of this extremely rare variety.

Note: The first 1 Cent Small Queen stamp has 2 very light paper creases - please examine scans accordingly.

Note: The true value of these rare stamps is determined by the significant detailed appearance of the "Plate Scratch" printing impression.
