These programmers are pre-assembled and ready to go!  They are so small, lightweight and cost-effective that it is easy to find a home for the programmer on the test bench, in your parts bin or even integrated into your project!

The programmer can be used to program most AVR microcontrollers via USB
(USBASP  compatible; see   https://www.fischl.de/usbasp/ for details).  Excellent for AVR experiments and development!

Can also be used to program new firmware to the 'green' oscilloscopes in our eBay store!  A compatible header is provided for programming these particular oscilloscopes.  Older versions of the scope may require the programmer to be converted to USB-UART mode as they must be flashed through the bootloader.  This is accomplished by the addition of a single SMT resistor and flashing the firmware to AVRCDC.
