                                                  WHAT IS MOISSANITE???

Moissanite is natural silicon carbide which is impossibly rare on Earth; in fact, it first gained fame when tiny particles were discovered by the Nobel Prize-winning French chemist Dr. Henri Moissan at the site of a massive meteorite strike in Arizona. This intriguing new stone was named Moissanite in his honor, and Moissan spent the rest of his life attempting to re-create this rare mineral, which is among the hardest materials on Earth.

Many years later moissanite was finally perfected and innovative process that creates silicon carbide crystals with such purity that it rivals any earthly gemstone for fire and brilliance. In these gems, which are more durable than diamond, sapphire, ruby, or emerald, this fire and brilliance will last forever.

Moissanite is grown right here in the USA within exact specifications and high quality control standards. Each gem is hand-faceted by a skilled gemstone cutter to create its maximum brilliance and enhance moissanite’s exceptional fire.

With a refractive index of 2.65-2.69, moissanite exhibits more brilliance than diamond. And thanks to a dispersion that’s 2.4 times higher than diamond, moissanite bends light into mesmerizing rainbow flashes of fire… more than twice as much as diamond. By day and by night, moissanite’s conspicuous brilliance is spectacular.

Moissanite vs. CZ:
Moissanite is harder (does not scratch easily), has more fire and sparkle and will not turn cloudy or fade with time. Cubic zirconium, or cz, is softer than moissanite, will scratch easier which inherently turns it cloudy over time, looks more like glass.

I HAVE MANY MORE SIZES AND DIFFERENT COLORS AVAILABLE IN MOISSANITE.

ALL ITEMS COME IN A BEAUTIFUL GIFT BOX.

CLARITY VARIES WIDELY FROM JEWELER TO JEWELER, THE CLARITY MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER DEPENDING ON THE JEWELER!!

What is the GIA Clarity Scale for diamonds? Answer: Diamonds have internal features, called inclusions, and surface irregularities, called blemishes. Together, they're called clarity characteristics. A clarity grade is determined by the relative absence of clarity characteristics. Flawless (FL): no blemishes or inclusions when examined by a skilled grader under 10X magnification. Internally Flawless (IF): no inclusions when examined by a skilled grader, and only insignificant blemishes under 10X. Very Very Slightly Included (VVS1 and VVS2): contain minute inclusions that are difficult for even a skilled grader to locate under 10X. VVS1: extremely difficult to see, visible only from the pavilion or small and shallow enough to be removed by minor repolishing. VVS2: very difficult to see. Very Slightly Included (VS1 and VS2): contain minor inclusions ranging from difficult (VS1) to somewhat easy (VS2) for a trained grader to see under 10X. Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2): contain noticeable inclusions which are easy (SI1) or very easy (SI2) to see under 10X. In some SIs, inclusions can be seen with the unaided eye. Included (I1, I2, I3): contain inclusions which are obvious to a trained grader under 10X, can often be easily seen face-up with the unaided eye, seriously affect the stone's potential durability, or are so numerous they affect transparency and brilliance.
