MCRU NO.8 POWER LEAD-SILVER FIG.8 + SILVER PLATED PLUG

The No. 8 mains lead is made primarily for Blu-Ray players and Sky boxes but also works well with any equipment fitted with a Fig. 8 socket. This mains power lead works particularly well on Sky boxes as it uses shielded power cable using 2.5mm thick individual conductors (others use 1.5mm) and the shielding helps to stop the cable acting as an aerial which would result in un-wanted interferance making it''s way into your system. The mains lead is assembled and tested in our own workshops and made using top quality parts, no shortcuts are ever made with our cables and we always do everything possible to produce the best cables possible, full specs. below.
Fitted with an MK Toughplug which has all internal parts silver plated by a plater with 30+ years in business, the plating is 15 microns thick and is of pristine quality. We fit a 5 amp silver plated bussmann fuse as standard as silver plating improves conductivity, proven by simple physics. The plug pins are secured to the wires using audiophile quality silver plated cable crimp sleeves, we do not solder mains plugs as solder contains over 90% tin which is not a good conductor. The Fig.8 connector we use is silver plated and has behind it a rather substantial ferrite ring installed to help reduce the effects of RFI which is interferance coming from wireless internet and mobile phone signals. All MCRU's EBAY orders are sent using royal mail, or DPD local couriers. We accept full responsibility if items are lost in transit and will dispatch replacements if a problem occurs. We try to be fair and realistic with postal times and charges and do respectfully request that customers are realistic with their expectations on delivery times.
Everything we sell can be returned within 14 days under the distance selling regulations, we do not refund postage there or back as we would hope problems can be resolved prior to the item being returned, please feel free to contact us prior to returning anything so we can try to resolve any issues you may have.
