These igniters are made from a very high grade of stainless steel that will withstand temperatures exceeding 1200°F.  Many Pellet Stove igniters are only made from a less costly Grade 304 or Grade 316 stainless (Google them), which both have a much lower temperature threshold than Incoloy.

DESCRIPTION:
This is a 310 WATT, 15 FIN, after market Igniter replacement element designed specifically for Harman Pellet stoves, Furnaces and Boilers.  It is a replacement only and is not for stoves that did not come with an igniter. It will fit all Harman pellet stoves (not corn stove) that were originally equipped with an igniter. The element fits inside the Igniter cradle, which is attached to the stove.  This igniter is not made by Harman. We get them from a Supplier that focuses on high quality after market replacement parts. We have yet to find one of their parts that is not at least as good as or superior to the OEM parts. These igniters have a high temperature Incoloy sheath and come with Hi-Temp wire leads that are the correct length. They come complete with the correct wire terminals on them so you don't have to mess around with wire cutters and crimpers. Our service department has installed several of these and we are extremely satisfied with them.
