Complete KEF 104/2 Refoam Kit includes the Foam Donut Dust Caps! 

Some KEF 104/2 woofers use inverted rubber surrounds and some use foam surrounds.  This kit is designed for the 104/2 woofers that use the foam surrounds only.

This Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed
to repair four (4) woofers:

      • Refoaming Instructions
      • Cabinet Disassembly Instructions
      • Four 8" Angled Foam Surrounds (F8-2)
      • Clear Shims For Centering the 1.25" Voice Coils for the Woofers
      • Four 2.75" Foam Donut Dust Caps for Woofers
      • 1 Big Bottle of Specially Formulated Foam Surround Adhesive (Dries Clear)

*It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims.  The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed.   If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing.

These foam donut dust caps are used to prevent debris from entering the voice coil area.  If these continue to rot and are not replaced, the foam pieces can fall down into the voice coil gap and prevent optimal sound quality.

A - Outside diameter of the surround = 7.75"
B - Roll ends                                          = 6.938"
C - Roll starts / O.D. of the cone          = 6"
D - Inside diameter of the surround   = 5.5"
