Carrageenan or Carrageen/Carragen/Karragen, the all-natural, powdered extract of seaweed.
The ancient art of paper and fabric marbling, uses a carrageenan and water mixture (also known as carrageenan size, marbling medium or thickened water) to float paints or inks upon. The paper or fabric is then laid on it, absorbing the colors.
