Sorin the Mirthless is a mythic rare black planeswalker from Innistrad: Crimson Vow, featuring atmospheric artwork by Martina Fačková.
As one of Magic's iconic vampire planeswalkers, Sorin provides a combination of card advantage, Vampire creature production, and powerful damage-dealing abilities.
His +1 loyalty ability allows you to look at the top card of your library and optionally put it into your hand, losing life equal to its mana value.
His -2 ability creates a 2/3 black Vampire creature token with flying and lifelink, providing defensive support and a source of life gain.
Sorin's ultimate -7 ability deals 13 damage to any target while gaining you 13 life, potentially changing the outcome of a game immediately.
This planeswalker fits naturally into mono-black control, Vampire tribal, lifegain, and Commander or EDH strategies.
Printing distinction: This is VOW #0131, the standard-art regular nonfoil printing. It is not the borderless version, the Count Dracula alternate-name printing, or a foil promotional edition.
