Up for sale is a classic, genuine Brooks B17 Standard leather saddle. Originally black, it has naturally lightened over time with use and conditioning into a beautiful, character-rich dark charcoal-brown patina. This is the classic 170mm wide version, perfect for touring, commuting, or completing a retro town bike build.
Condition Details:
• Leather: Nicely broken-in and structurally sound. It has a classic vintage look with some cosmetic surface scuffs and darkening from age, but the leather canvas remains solid, pliable, and ready to ride.
• Hardware & Rails: Includes the original vintage straight-post seatpost clamp ("guts"). The chrome rails are strong and in good functional condition.
• Rivets: Standard factory steel rivets showing some light surface rust/patina around the edges, adding to the authentic retro look (please review the photos carefully). They still securely hold the leather firmly to the steel chassis.
• Tension: The nose tensioning bolt is intact and has plenty of thread left for future adjustments if required.
