This is a sterling silver carnelian , cultured freshwater pearls and crystal teardrops necklace with a flower marcasite pendant. The necklace is about 20 1/4" long .The tassel is about 7 1/4" long. The pendant is about 1 3/8" in diameter.
Carnelian is a red brown orange silica mineral which is a translucent form of chalcedony quartz with iron oxide. It is mostly a single color but can have lighter and darker coloring in a single stone. It is found in India, Russia, Germany, USA, Southern Africa and Brazil.
