Charming old miniature wooden rocking chair sized for a doll. Features a rounded hoop-style back with two vertical spindles, solid wood seat, stretchers and curved wooden rockers.
One of the best features is the wonderfully imperfect surface: remnants of several earlier paint colors are visible beneath the current white finish, particularly where the paint has chipped and worn away. The most recent white paint job is fairly rough and uneven, adding to its primitive, timeworn appearance.
The lower rung/stretcher appears to have been repaired at some point, and the later white paint may have been applied in part to disguise that repair. There is extensive paint wear and chipping, including heavier loss around the seat edges and ends of the rockers.
Approximately 15–16" tall and 7" wide based on the measurements shown in the photos. Please refer to photos for additional measurements.
A great display piece for an antique doll, primitive collection, farmhouse décor, or old toy collection.
