Bi-Directional Control capability lets you run Active Tests on vehicle-specific subsystems and component tests. The tester outputs commands to the ECU to drive actuators, helping determine the integrity of the system or parts by reading ECU data or monitoring actuator operation.

For example, the NT530 PLUS can actuate relays, injectors, coils, and perform system tests. It can also actuate solenoid valves and actuators for active testing to identify errors more easily — you can even open an EGR valve and see the difference in idle response and oxygen sensor voltage.

Please note: Active tests are NOT universal for all vehicles. Check compatibility with your VIN before purchase. Active tests vary by manufacturer, year, and model; only the available tests display in the menu.
