This item is a beautiful vintage Limoges-style porcelain perfume casket, complete with two miniature glass scent bottles.

This lovely little piece features striking cobalt blue panels decorated with intricate gilt scrollwork, alternating with colourful floral sprays. The hinged porcelain casket is finished with ornate brass-coloured metal mounts and a decorative bow clasp to the front.

The interior is glazed white, with a delicate floral decoration inside the lid.

Both miniature glass perfume bottles are present, each with a decorative metal screw cap and its original-style plastic applicator rod intact.

The underside of the casket bears a hand-applied mark resembling the letter L. The maker has not been confirmed, so this is being sold as Limoges style.

Condition:

In lovely vintage condition overall, with some age-related wear and patina to the metalwork and gilding.

There is a very small area of glaze loss to the lid, measuring approximately 1.4mm. This can be felt with a fingernail and has been photographed for completeness (please see my last two photos).

The hinge works well and the decorative clasp clicks shut securely. Both glass bottles and their applicators are intact. The bottles including the stoppers are 3.4cm tall and the casket is 5cm tall.

A charming and highly decorative little perfume casket, ideal for collectors of vintage scent bottles, porcelain trinket boxes and dressing table accessories.

Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
