Thanks to its specifications, the Samsung PM1655 drive can be used in VMware ESXi and Proxmox VE virtualization servers, OLTP transaction systems, and relational SQL databases.
The Samsung PM1655 800GB SSD SAS 12Gbit/s 2.5" Dell 03CHC8 3CHC8 achieves sequential read speeds of up to 2,100 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 2,000 MB/s. For random operations, it achieves 240,000 IOPS (input/output operations per second) for reads and 110,000 IOPS for writes. The Dual-Port architecture allows the drive to be connected via two independent paths, eliminating a single point of failure and maintaining connectivity to the array in the event of a failure in one controller channel. TLC V-NAND memory, combined with the Samsung controller, ensures consistent data access times under continuous load. Power Loss Protection (PLP) technology safeguards data in the cache buffer against loss in the event of a sudden power outage in the server room. The End-to-End Data Protection mechanism verifies the consistency of data blocks throughout the entire transfer path, hardware ECC error correction continuously corrects bit errors, and the Hot-Plug feature allows for drive replacement in server bays without having to shut down the operating system.
