Presenting for sale this beautiful Vintage hand-quilted Bowtie quilt in EXCELLENT pre-owned condition

This quilt measures ~82.5 in x 98 in which aligns with a modern full size extra-long and/or queen size bed.

This hand quilted piece has very dense stitches with ~7-9 stitches per inch of fabric.  Made from 100% cotton fabric scraps for the bowties and separated and back with muslin fabric.

This quilt also includes a "mistake block".  Noticeable slightly right of the center is a block where the orientation is flipped or layout differs (creating a larger block anomaly).  In traditional quilting, this is affectionately known as a 'humility block'.  Folklore suggests quilters left intentional flaws because "only God is perfect", but practically, it highlights the authentic, non-mass-produced nature of scrap quilting.

Additionally, a piece of fabric was added to the back so that a rod could be inserted to fully display this quilt on a large wall.  See pictures.

This gorgeous quilt is signed and dated by the quilter (1989).

Please view pictures as they are the truest reflection of the condition of this quilt and provide the best idea of what you will be receiving.
