I'm taking some latitude by calling these beautiful jogging bottoms "Vintage". But I do so because these were created in 2022 at a time when Tom Ford himself was still the created director and that makes all the difference, because in the last 2 decades he was arguably the most influential designer, so to have a piece done by or overseen by him makes these extra special.
Presented in two subtle shades of mint it both stands out from the crowd but does so with an elegant shout, although the shade is also invoking marine tones that I cannot shake..
As you would expect with all Tom Ford pieces, the quality is exceptional. The top side of the fabric is silky and smooth to the touch, with the underside with an absorbent cotton wool like texture, the duality is interesting as the fabric is very fine and lightweight.
I have missed the summer, but then perhaps these were always meant for a wonderful winter getaway. Wear a pair of long johns (or a "base layer") underneath and you can still wear them to the supermarket, though perhaps layering something in-between this fabric and your skin would be criminal, as would the mundane.
