Beautiful vintage Martin Style 0 Soprano Ukulele (high G), The construction / hardware suggest possible late 1940's to mid 1950's.
Martin did not Serialize these. It has the small period Martin headstock decal and the interior stamp that simply says: "C.F, Martin & Co., Nazareth, PA".
Features:
Smaller, proportioned headstock decal
12-fret rosewood fingerboard
T-frets
Black/ebony nut and saddle
Rosewood slotted bridge
Keystone-style friction tuners w/tension screws
No body binding
Distinctive five-line sound-hole rosette-narrow alternating black/yellow stripes, w/center black line slightly wider
Condition:
Given the age of this unit, it show its age from normal wear, but is in really good shape, considering.
There is a small crack on the lower front, and one on the back side (both re-glued). Please see the Pics.
Remember, this uke is ~70+ years old, so I think that it has held out rather well, AND SOUNDS GREAT!
I'm even throwing in an unopened set of Genuine Martin strings!
