A little dome of bone china flowers from Royal Doulton's Brambly Hedge Gift Collection, every petal modelled and hand-painted - cream primroses, a big blue-and-mauve violet, white blossom and forget-me-nots nestled in green leaves. Marked underneath and dated 1982 to Jill Barklem's design. 8 x 7cm.

Jill Barklem worked out the whole world of Brambly Hedge on her daily train journey to art school, then spent five years researching hedgerow plants and country crafts before the first books came out in 1980.

Good condition with only minor wear, no chips or cracks.

Made in England, 1982. Proper burrowcore - lovely on a dressing table, windowsill or shelf.
