Ilona Steelhammer Handmade Paper Mache Snowman Folk Art Rusty Bucket 7.5"

Whimsical handmade papier-mâché snowman by folk artist Ilona Steelhammer, standing approximately 7.5" tall.

This distinctive snowman features an exaggerated toothy grin, rosy cheeks, a bright orange carrot nose, and a black felt top hat decorated with colorful felt accents and greenery. A muted green-gray felt scarf wraps around his neck.

In one hand, he carries a miniature red bucket with hand-painted "Old Rusty Bucket" lettering, suspended by a wire handle.

The figure is individually handmade from pulp papier-mâché, with a wonderfully irregular shape and heavily textured snowy surface that give it the character of traditional primitive folk art.

Details:

A charming, character-filled example of Steelhammer's distinctive folk-art Christmas creations, particularly appealing to collectors of handmade snowmen and primitive holiday decorations.
