Vintage mid 20th century single pedestal desk in oak, a neat and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing solid craftsmanship.

The pedestal is fitted with four drawers with oak-lined dovetailed construction and carved wooden pull handles, one with a lock, beside an open kneehole.

The top is inset with a tooled leather writing surface within an oak border, the sides and back are fielded panelled, and the desk stands on a plinth base to the pedestal with a stretcher to the kneehole end.

The oak displays a lovely figured grain and a warm, rich colour with a mellow patina.

Presented in good vintage condition with signs of use. A very desirable compact oak desk, a perfect addition to any study, home office or bedroom.
