OBJECT D'ART. Art Deco Bakelite small table Photograph Frame, Faux Tortoiseshell, celluloid and Copper with geometric design surrounds.
- Faux Tortoiseshell Outer Frame: The outer border has a classic mottled, wavy-edged design that mimics natural tortoiseshell. This look was incredibly popular during the Art Deco era and was widely achieved using early molded plastics.
- Layered Geometry: The centre piece features a solid cream or butterscotch rectangular insert, contrasted by a dark brown or black inner layer with an elegant oval photo aperture.
- Integrated Strut Stand: The rear view highlights a stylised metal or plastic easel-back support, carefully shaped to fit perfectly within the silhouette when folded down or to prop the frame up at an optimal viewing angle.
