Presenting an exquisite, miniature pair of solid brass Guardian Lions (Foo Dogs). These tiny, highly detailed figurines are a classic representation of traditional Chinese protective mythology, cast from heavy brass with a beautiful, aged golden-brown patina that gives them a rich, antique luster.

Though incredibly small and palm-fitting, the craftsmanship is remarkably crisp. The pair consists of the classic "Male and Female" configuration:

The Female Lion: Posed with her left paw tenderly holding a playful cub, symbolizing nurturing, longevity, and the continuation of the family line.

Both figures are detailed with traditional spiral curls on their heads, thick manes, fierce yet protective expressions, and decorative collars around their necks. Their tails are curled elegantly over their backs.

Important Detail (From Bottom View): As shown in the final close-up, the bases of these two lions have irregular, textured protrusions rather than a flat bottom. This indicates they were not originally designed just as stand-alone desk ornaments, but very likely as decorative finials or inserts—perhaps once mounted on the lid of an incense burner, a wooden chest, or a shrine.

A wonderful addition to any collection of miniatures, Asian antiques, Feng Shui decorations, or a charming, lucky charm to carry in a pocket.
