Motor Trends "Car Of The Year" in 1970, the Ford Torino really stood out and became an instant hit as it was dubbed the "New" Torino. Ford started building the intermediate car in 1968 and initially was a more boxy car and by 1970 had moved in to a more "Coke Bottle" style with a longer hood and rounder body lines. Most of these cars were just cars to the average consumer used for commuting and most of them were the 4-door variants. There were a few that got out with a big block but not many. What we have here is a real "survivor" car with what appears to be all original paint with the proper amount of stone chips, door dings and small touch up spots. The interior is all original and, the underside is all original and very dry with only some small surface rust areas as to be expected, the engine is original with the intake, carburetor and valve cover gaskets being replaced but still retain the originals that come with the car. This is an original 4-speed, Air Conditioning car with original sales invoice, mileage and oil diary along with a Marti report and car cover. This car is absolutely amazing. It starts, idles, and goes down the road so nicely with no weird noises or squeaks commanding attention at every turn. The underside of the engine is a little weapy with oil as to be expected with such a original specimen. We encourage any questions or inpsections here in our Traverse City location.
