Tissue-Tek Accu-Edge Microtome Blade System, model 4687, made by Feather in Japan for Miles Scientific of Elkhart, Indiana. The case label is dated Rev. 12/85. This is the original One-Touch style holder for Accu-Edge disposable blades. It mounts in the knife clamp of most rotary microtomes in place of a traditional steel knife, so you can section with disposable blades.

The stainless body is marked TISSUE-TEK and FEATHER JAPAN, and it has the knurled handle, blade clamp plate, and spring release lever. A sealed bag of spare springs and small parts is included. Everything comes in the original fitted foam case with a chrome latch and the Miles label on the lid.

Condition is used. The steel has light handling marks, and the case has minor scuffs and age discoloration. No blades are included. It has not been tested on a microtome, so please confirm fit with your model before buying. Please see all photos.
