HONESTLY, though the original packaging was discarded, this would otherwise be considered unused or new mint condition. As mentioned above it is in MINT condition. WE believe this is a good price for a modern masterpiece worthy of heirloom status in the buyers family.  Jay Strongwater art objects, like this unusual double trinket box, are made with master craftsmanship and elaborate embellishments including Swarovski Crystals.  This double cherry design is called Jefferey and comes from the Delft Collection. Purchased some years ago at upscale Neiman Marcus and simply displayed in a closed curio case. Each of the two cherries opens to reveal a small compartment. Approximate dimensions: 3", x 2 1/2".
