Up for sale is an original factory Mercedes-Benz evaporative emissions vapor purge valve harvested from a 1987 W126 420SEL. Discontinued by dealerships and increasingly difficult to find in working order, this valve meters fuel tank vapor from the charcoal canister back into the engine intake under controlled vacuum.

A failed or stuck valve leads to unmetered vacuum leaks, erratic idle hunting, excessive fuel tank pressure/vacuum hiss when opening the gas cap, or failed emissions testing.

Condition & Bench Test Verification

• Pneumatic Diaphragm / Seal Tested: Attached to a hand vacuum pump and pulled to 15 inHg. The internal diaphragm holds vacuum firmly without leaking down.

• Port & Hose Barb Integrity: All vacuum/vapor nipples and barbs are clean, intact, and free of stress cracks, chips, or crushed ends.

• Plastic & Housing Condition: The black molded body is solid with no heat distortion, brittle edges, or cracks.  Just shows normal wear from being a 40 year old part.

• Cleaning: Degreased and cleaned by hand; completely dry and ready for direct installation.
