A very nice, very lightly run, MTH 30-4236-1E Norfolk Southern ES44AC NS #8110 Diesel with Proto-Sound 3 for O gauge 3-Rail.  Made in 2015 as part of the 30-4236-3 NS Freight set.  Works great with Lionel, Williams, K-Line and all other O/027 gauge 3 Rail trains. 

This sharp looking NS ES44AC diesel features a detailed plastic shell with all metal frame & trucks, dual large "maintenance free" vertical can motors with fly wheels, conventional Transformer (Fwd-Neutral-Rev) or MTH PS3 DCS remote control, engine speed "cruise" control,  6 wheel trucks with 8 wheel drive & 4 traction tires, bright directional LED headlights, Oscillating front ditch lights, fan-driven smoke unit, 2 crewmen figures, two electro-couplers, PS3 sounds to include diesel motor, horn, bell, freight PFAs & random dialog and crisp/ classic Norfolk Southern colors & graphics.

This engine can operate on any 3-rail O/027 gauge track system but O-31 or larger curves are recommended.  

***Note:  In conventional control mode transformer (or separate) Whistle/Horn and Bell controls are required to activate the Whistle, Bell & PFA sounds.   No controls are required for the diesel motor sounds & random dialog.***

I lubed the rollers & gears, added some smoke fluid and then briefly tested this engine on my layout and the motors, lights, conventional control functions, DCS functions and sounds all worked great!  

***Note:  This engine is set to ID "1" and confirmed to work (& is ID re-settable) with the MTH 50-1033 DCS Remote Commander***

This engine comes with an original box, foam inserts, optional snowplow, spare tires, small tube of smoke fluid & extract copy of the MTH engine instructions and I will wrap & pack with care prior to shipment.
