Additionally, this engine features dual large vertical "maintenance free" can motors with fly wheels, detailed plastic shell, metal frame/ trucks/ gears/ details, engine speed "cruise" control, 8 wheel drive with 4 traction tires, illuminated cab & headlight, rubber rear door diaphragm, operating front & rear electro-couplers (in command mode), ProtoSounds to include diesel engine, horn, bell, passenger PFA & random crew dialog and crisp New Haven colors & graphics.  Engine weighs nearly 3 1/2 lbs.

**Note: The box label indicates proto-smoke but that is a MTH miss-print, these smaller RailKing F3 diesels were produced without smoke units (no room!)**

This diesel engine can operate on any 3-rail O/027 gauge track system and O-27 or larger curves. 

***Note:  In conventional control mode transformer (or separate) Whistle/Horn and Bell controls are required to activate the Horn, Bell & PFA sounds.   No controls are required for the diesel engine sounds & random dialog.***

I replaced the rechargeable battery pack with a BCR (Battery Circuit Replacement), lubed the rollers & gears and then briefly tested this engine on my layout and the motors, light, MTH & conventional control functions and sounds all worked great!  

***Note:  This engine is set to ID "1" and confirmed to work with the MTH 50-1033 DCS Remote Commander***

***Note:  The BCR eliminates dead battery worries but the BCR must be charged at the start of each operating session.  Power up the engine and it will start, sounds will start normal and then drop to a lower volume.  After ~15 seconds the sounds will return to full volume indicating the BCR is fully charged***

This engine comes with the original set box, foam insert, spare tires & the MTH set instructions and I will wrap & pack with care prior to shipment.
