The hand/feet sections are attached to the suit and are not removable. 

 

You can see the sizing chart in the attached images for sizing details, but as general advice, I'd suggest sizing up one size from your normal size. I am 5 foot 9, average build and in the images, I am wearing a size large. It fits me fine, but even if I had to, I'd also be fine going with an XL.
