Vintage Waverley Pure Wool Blue Green Check Blanket Throw Rug Shrunk 150x100cm

This vintage Waverley pure wool blanket is in Good Used Condition.

It is made from quality pure Australian wool in an attractive blue, green and cream check pattern. The blanket remains in good overall shape and has a thick, tightly woven construction with very little stretch.

Please note that the blanket has a rippled surface consistent with shrinkage from an incorrect washing technique. It has two stitched edges, which remain in pretty good condition with only minimal wear. There is also one small hole, as shown in the photographs.

The original label is very faded, although the Waverley branding can still be identified. Waverley has a long association with quality woollen blankets and a history of experience in woollen manufacturing.

The blanket is thick, warm and cosy, making it ideal as a warming throw or for decorative use.

Photos 10–17 show the reverse side of the blanket, photographed lengthways across the bed.

The blanket has been gently hand washed in an approved wool wash with a small amount of hypoallergenic fabric softener.

It is shown on a queen-size bed with a very thick mattress plus a mattress topper, so please refer to the measurements above for an accurate indication of size.
