J. & E. Stevens Key Lock Safe No. 50 cast iron still coin bank, made in Cromwell, Connecticut, USA.

KEY IS MISSING. THE SAFE IS LOCKED SHUT AND CANNOT BE OPENED WITHOUT A KEY.

This miniature safe features raised floral and scrolling decoration, star motifs, shaped feet, a coin slot near the top of the rear panel, and a front door with a keyhole and small pull.

The underside is marked:

“KEY LOCK SAFE NO 50”
“MANUFACTURED BY THE J & E STEVENS CO.”
“CROMWELL CONN. U.S.A.”
“PAT’D AUG. 24, 1897”

The marked date is the patent date, not a confirmed manufacturing date.

• Height: 4¼ inches
• Width: 3 inches
• Depth: 2¾ inches

Pre-owned condition with worn silver-tone plating, finish loss, scratches, scuffs, darkened areas, oxidation, and scattered surface rust. Wear is visible on the raised decoration, recessed areas, edges, and feet. No obvious exterior structural cracks, broken feet, or repairs are visible.

No key is included. The door remains locked closed. The interior has not been inspected, any contents are unknown, and the lock’s operation has not been tested.

Sold as a collectible display piece in its current locked condition.
