This nighttime depiction of a roadside diner known as the Tick Tock Diner is exemplary of John Baeder's work in portraying restaurants and diners along the highways and towns of the United States. With the bright orange fluorescent light reflecting out into the parking lot and across the exterior of the parked vehicle, the scene exudes a welcoming, nostalgic mood.
