Here we have a vintage Peak Performance “Saint” modified racing motor from my motor collection.

This is a 14-turn quintuple wind (14x5) brushed modified motor and a great example of Peak Performance hardware from the heyday of modified RC racing.

The Saint has one of the more recognizable Peak labels from the period, with the bright yellow/red graphics and Saint artwork. This example retains its original Peak setup with gold-plated brush hardware, braided brush shunts, capacitors and modified-style brush springs.

The motor has been previously run and shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. The label remains very presentable but does have some wear/damage in spots, which I have photographed clearly. The commutator looks fresh and the brushes are about 90%. Motor tested before listing and it runs smooth and fast.

The 14x5 wind is marked on the motor, and I have included close-up photos so the buyer can see exactly what is being offered.

These Peak Performance modified motors were serious race equipment in their day and look right at home in a period-correct Associated RC10, RC10T, Losi, Kyosho, Yokomo, Schumacher or other vintage racing build.

It also makes a great display piece for a collection of vintage brushed racing motors — especially alongside the old Trinity, Reedy, Fantom and other tuner motors of the era.
