Description:
Extremely early 1922 Spanish football card depicting the legendary Santiago Bernabéu, one of the most important figures in Real Madrid history.
Issued by R. Moreno Botella as card No. 32 from the Foot-Ball – Escenas Interesantes series, titled “Entrenamientos del Equipo Nacional” (National Team Training).
Importantly, the original Spanish text on the reverse specifically identifies Bernabéu, describing him heading the ball to Monjardín during preparations for Spain's international match against Portugal.
A remarkable early collectible connected to Santiago Bernabéu, who would later become the transformative president of Real Madrid and whose name is immortalised by the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
A superb piece of early Spanish and Real Madrid football history.
