Matching pair of vintage decorative wall pictures featuring colourful rural cottage / farm landscape scenes within ornate carved wooden frames.

Very lovely!

The frames have attractive bow and floral decoration with applied painted flower details around the circular central images. Both retain their hanging fittings and backing boards.

Possibly Continental European / Germanic in origin, although there are no visible maker’s marks or labels, so the exact country and date are unknown.

Condition: Both show considerable age-related wear. One central glass is extensively cracked/shattered and damaged, as clearly photographed (the picture itself is torn beneath). The carved wooden frames have chips, cracks and losses, including larger missing sections to the decorative outer motifs. Further surface wear and losses to the painted decoration throughout.
