Features the classic King's X trio of Doug Pinnick, Ty Tabor and Jerry Gaskill, one of the most distinctive bands to emerge from the late-'80s/early-'90s hard rock scene, blending heavy rock, progressive elements and the band's signature vocal harmonies.
Condition: Excellent overall condition. Disc and inserts have been well cared for. Jewel case may show normal light storage/handling wear. Please examine photos for exact condition.
A great piece for a King's X completist, Atlantic Records promo collector, hard rock/metal collector or anyone chasing non-album and alternate King's X recordings. KING'S X – BUILDING BLOX
Rare 1994 Atlantic Records promotional-only CD compilation, catalog number PRCD 5494-2. Building Blox was produced as a promotional sampler rather than a standard commercial album release. The 15-track collection pulls material from King's X's Atlantic-era catalog.
This particular copy has an especially interesting bit of apparent radio-station history. “WSUW” appears to be handwritten in black marker around the clear center hub of the disc. WSUW is the call sign associated with the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater college radio station. Given that Building Blox was a promotional release intended for radio use, the marking may indicate that this copy was once part of the station's music library.
I cannot independently verify the station ownership/provenance, so WSUW should be considered a likely identification of the handwritten marking rather than a guarantee. Please see the close-up photos and judge the writing for yourself.
